Welcome to our
World of Colour!

We have reused 1,400 tonnes of paint to date!
Refills, our zero waste shop, now open
We collect and reuse over 170 tonnes of paint per year.
We work with over 50 volunteers per year
This 'social value' is a way of finding a money value for all the work Seagulls and our supporters do, to help individuals, communities and the environment. This includes the cheap paint to improve homes in Leeds, the training and confidence building for our volunteers and staff and the tonnes of paint we save from landfill by reusing it. This has been added up and independently valued at over £1million .

In 2001, environmentalists and social entrepreneurs, Cat and Kate decided to rescue landfill sites in and around Leeds from the tons of unused paint that people throw away after they have painted their homes, shops, offices, dog kennels or warehouses. That marked the birth of Seagulls.

Seagulls is a hub of colour, creativity and people. We are home to a paint store, mosaic workshop, Refills zero waste shop, gallery space and most importantly the whole enterprise is under pinned by our successful volunteer program called We grow People.

Our enterprise is built from passion and spins around the 3 P’s

Planet, People, Profit

because there is no Planet B.
